CAmeras are worse, you have them recorded, and you can watch the signs

Well I’m not sure if that’s against the rules, but if it is then they’re equally bad if you ask me, if it’s not then fine go for it. As far as whether or not it SHOULD be against the rules, I think so. I mean if you want to try and read their lips, fine, but I think bringing in lip readers with binoculars is a little extreme. Most coaches cover their mouths anyway though so I don’t think this would be much of an advantage, you would hardly ever be able to use it at all. Taping defensive signals can be used any time you play against that same defensive coordinator again.

I guess the-”We’re winning so nothing else matters” answer is no longer valid, so now we have to listen to all the -”other people have cheated too, so anything we do is ok” answer to the cheating allegations.

Lip reading isn’t wrong. Think of baseball, whenever there is a guy on second, they completely change the signs because there’s a good chance he’s reading the signs to try to get a tip off.
When you videotape signs, you do it so people can analyze them and get an in-depth look. You can rewind and watch it over for every little detail.
Actually let me change that, I wouldn’t say lip reading is right, but anyone with vision could do it. Anyone on the sideline could watch the other side and try to pick up on things. So it might not be the best sportsmanship but it’s equal.
DB Said,
I just pictured it LOL. Dude picks up the binoculars and looks across the field, and there he is face to face with somebody staring at him with binoculars. I don’t know why but I thought that was funny LOL.
Counting Cromartie Said,
lip reading is a lot less acurate, so cameras are worse

well lip-reading is not against the rule.. and All the coach are awared of the fact that each team employs lip-reader.. so they always cover their mounths with the play sheet..
[?AmanDeUX?] Said,
Video Taping….
If u notice during most games coaches almost always cover up their mouth….
And if Shanhan did do that he should’ve pulled a Belichick this yr cuz Denver ****** this yr!!!!
M V Said,
Cameras by far…you have to make the choice to set them up.
Eric S Said,
With the video tapes you can sell them to other teams with the lip reading you can’t
Elvira Said,
i would have to choose cameras as being the worse of the two because footage can be reviewed and can also be saved for future use. reading lips is a one time shot. they do it all the time on the field, hence, coaches covers their mouths when giving plays. either way, it’s cheating and there’s not way to justify shanahan’s or your coach’s actions.
